Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In his first session, Diesel focused on further developing his skill 'loose lead' with a muzzle, around high distractions (in and around the pet retreat facility). Diesel performed very well, he happily placed his nose in the muzzle and was calm while it was on. Diesel happily walked past 10 dogs in the kennel barking at him while he remained engaged and focused with his trainer. Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his second session, Diesel focused on further developing his skill in 'soccer' within the classroom. Diesel loves training this skill and is progressing very well. He interacted with the ball straight away, he did touch it with his paws but with some guidance, he began to roll it along the ground. As he was performing so well the trainer began to challenge him by rolling the ball towards him, then him rolling it back. Diesel progresses great. Focus: Foundation B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his final session, Diesel focused on learning the new skill 'pods' within the classroom. This skill is where Diesel places all four paws onto different small pods. Diesel struggled with this skill, he would paw the pods away. The trainer used one pod to help encourage him to stand on it. With some guidance, he slowly began to hold his paw onto the pod. Focus: Foundation C
