Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his first session today the trainer did some loose lead walking. Not only is this a skill he needs some work on it’s also a great way to get the dogs engagement first thing and set them up for a successful day. He was very energetic coming out of the resort accomodation today however like the last few times after some engagement games the trainer was able to channel this energy into his trainer. Another technique today used to keep Diesel nice and close to the trainer was to make sure the trainer was giving off fun positive energy throughout the session, if we can be fun and enticing for the dog to walk next to and be more interesting than what’s around us it makes it more likely the dog will keep focus on you and the loose lead walking. Focus: Conditioning C+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For his second session today the trainer worked on his place skills! In todays session they had to go back to basics to start and work him up again. This is a regular occurrence with dogs and nothing to be concerned about, each time they go back to the start however we are looking for an increase in the speed of learning and today Diesel showed us this with ease. He went from having to be lured on to being sent to place in a very shot period of time, the trainer was then able to push his place skill and today he was worked on his duration! (How long her can stay on place) the trainer was very impressed with his learning speed today and how Focus: Back to Basics C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: (Around) For his last session the trainer wanted to end on some fun so did some work on his around skill. This skill has multiple benefits, firstly it’s a nice and fun activity which makes a good time for both Diesel and the trainer! Secondly it encourages Diesel to return to us as we make retuning to us and running back a fun activity for him to do! And last let it helps with working on his place skill as this is the position he ends up in! He did really well this final session picking up on the training quickly and really pushing himself which is amazing to see. Focus: Repetition C+
