Diesel was a very good boy today. He tried his hardest with everything the trainer asked for and got lots of cuddles throughout the day!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his first session we got Diesel into his training mode by doing some Loose lead in the cattery. To make it a bit more distracting we also did some muzzle conditioning with him and had him walking with the muzzle to continue making it a normal piece of equipment for him. While he did paw at it a few times he was great at listening to the trainer and focusing away from the muzzle. Overall fantastic work from Diesel in this session!||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For his second session we continued work on the toe tap skill for Diesel. He did struggle a bit with this skill today and would repeatedly try the wrong paw on the foot. To ease frustration we worked on some drops and cuddle sessions throughout the session so that he didn't feel like he was failing. He did do the correct foot several times but did struggle to get the right foot first try.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For his last session we worked on some tricks. We started off with hold - he held it for a few seconds the first time then would drop it almost right away for each attempt after. After half the session we moved onto roll-over as this is a skill he is more confident with. We worked a little on fading out the lure though Diesel did struggle a bit without the lure. He did do one or two attempts without the lure but could use some more work on this, particularly in the distractions of the classroom environment.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
