Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his first session we worked on drops with Dexter in the classroom as he kept breaking them in his excitement to be with the trainer. We focused on a few drops while walking, drops while Lexi was visible in her crate and finally drops while running around. Dexter really improved in his focus throughout the session once he settled a bit and had some cuddles. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For his second session we continued on his skateboard skill. The focus of today was to have him start moving the skateboard on his own while keeping his front two paws on the board. Dexter did pretty well at this though he needs to focus sometimes to make sure he doesn't tip the board over. We were able to get a few paces with the skateboard but it needs a bit more work as he tends to drop off one of his paws after a few steps. Awesome work overall! Focus: Distance B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his last session we took advantage of a break in the rain to work on some loose lead outside on the grass. Dexter had fantastic engagement throughout this session! His only faults were walking a bit ahead and across the trainer in anticipation of a turn and a small distraction when staff were loading crates into a van. Other than that he was perfect! Keep up the great work at home! Focus: Distraction A
