Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For Delilah’s first session today Delilah worked on her loose lead walking around the outdoor kennel runs. This is a very distracting environment as there are lots of barking dogs and interesting smells. Delilah did so well around this environment and didn’t really care for the dogs. Keep pushing her in new environments around interesting distractions! Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: The last two session for Delilah focused on her different obedience skills at the pony club next door. Delilah has shown great knowledge of her skills so we really wanted to push her further. We can do this at the pony club with all the weird and wonderful sights/smells like horse poo and sand pits. Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: At the pony club Delilah worked on her drops, loose lead and some mini recalls. Delilah’s loose lead was really good as we wandered all around the field and around the horse jumps. We found a large sand pit and decided to try her drops here, this proved to be a very exciting sand pit for Delilah. She almost got a case of the zoomies here but we were able to say drop clearly and she went into position. We kept her in a drop while doing circles around her and making funny noises. Delilah absolutely smashed all her obedience skills today, keep pushing her with more distractions! Focus: Distraction A
