|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Dakota’s first session was place once again at the back of the kennels. She was not fazed by the dogs but the bags used to make dogs bed worries her. So the trainer spent time shaking them while rewarding Dakota and soon she was fine. While Dakota was in place the trainer slammed doors, and metal things to make noise. Although Dakota was started she recovered quickly. She is doing really well in this area!!||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: The next session was meant to be ring the bell. However Dakota expressed an interest in the treat and train because she was after the food. So the trainer decided to work with Dakota with this. This little device does make a lot of noise and Dakota turned out to be quite frightened by it once it was on. The trainer worked with Dakota to help her learn to use it. This will be a work in progress for Dakota as she was still worried by the end of the session||Focus: Conditioning||D+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: The final session was ring the bell and Dakota rocked this!! She’s a smart little cookie and it didn’t take long for her to work out what she needed to do. It is fun watching her trying to figure it out and she was certainly starting to do that by the end of the session! Next time the trainer will work on getting more consistency||Focus: Repetition||D+|
