Fantastic day for Dakota!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Dakota’s first session was loose lead. She did struggle with the walk and wanted to pull to the good smells. She also lost focus when the alpacas came into view. Going forward the trainer will continue to expose Dakota to these distractions.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Desensitisation||Comment: Dakota’s next session was in the classroom with another dog. The trainer took Dakota quite close to the dog that was on place in the classroom. She didn’t back but she did keep giving the dog glances. The trainer kept rewarding Dakota when she looked at the dog but then looked to the trainer. When out get Dakota to do a spin etc to help keep the attention on you. Put her in a controlled position and treat her when she’s calm. If she looks at another dog, yes and reward. During this session the trainer worked on desensitising Dakota to the trick and train. She did well and by the end of the session she was taking treats out of it when it was turned on.||Focus: Repetition||X|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Dakota’s final session was working on sit pretty. She progressed really well with this and is starting to hold the position a little longer without the food right near her nose. Next time it will be great to progress to her holding position longer and be more confident getting into the position. Looking forward to seeing her Thursday.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
