|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Daisy’s first session today was loose lead walking. This was done in the car park where the distractions are a little less than a grassed area. At first the trainer could only work in a small area. Changing directions whenever Daisy pulled. As the session progressed the area the trainer used with Daisy increased, with Daisy’s focus more on the trainer. Great progress in this session for Daisy.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Daisy’s second session was place in the training yard. At first Daisy was very reluctant to go on place and was breaking position very easily. As the session progressed the trainer worked with Daisy to get her to hold position longer. By the session end Daisy was holding position with people walking in the distance. She was very interested and she wanted to get off the place bed but made some good choices which shows she’s thinking about what she’s doing despite the distractions. Well done Daisy.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Daisy’s final session was a mix of the confidence course and drops in the training area. Daisy was a bit unsure of the obstacle course at first but with trainer encouragement she managed to go through a couple of times which was great. Daisy did struggle with her drops to start with but as the session progressed she was dropping better. The trainer then started on duration and by the end of the session the trainer was able to take a couple of steps away from Daisy. Normally in the classroom the distracts aren’t as high. So to complete the skill amongst the good smells in the grass Daisy actually did really well.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
