Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For Daisy’s first session today we worked on her loose lead skill in the classroom and a little bit outside. She showed great engagement inside however she would not look at the trainer at all when we moved outside so we came back in and worked on some engagement games. This involved short recalls and drops to get her focused on the trainer! After this she did really well inside, for further improvement on this skill it needs to be worked on in low distraction level environments and slowly built up. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For Daisy’s second session today we pushed her with her place skill. We had her set on place and then the trainer would run around like a maniac trying to get her to jump off. She did jump off once but quickly went back on after corrected. We also did some RLGL with her, this means we got her really excited playing some games and then told her to go to place. She really struggled with this one and didn’t want to stop playing so had to be guided back to place. To work on this further it just needs practice. Perhaps just before she get overly excited to put her on place and build up to getting her super crazy and then place for relaxing. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For her last session we got her working on her drops inside and outside the classroom. She did really well in the classroom, although a bit slow. Moving outside proved to be just a bit much for her and she wasn’t engaged or taking treats, so we moved back inside where she was more comfortable. To work on this further it just needs practice in low distracting environments and building slowly up to different places. Focus: Duration B
