Cookie worked very hard today with her skills and although she got frustrated because she was struggling, the trainer was very proud of her persistence.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: The trainer worked on Cookie's orbit for the first 2 sessions. They did so by starting with her rear end awareness by doing some back ups as well as pivoting with paws up. After her warm up the trainer got her to do backwards circles to get her comfortable with the motion. Although she can walk backwards in a straight line easily, she struggles to do a tight backward spin. They soon progressed to her doing this around an object and then managed to get 1 full orbit around the trainer! Although this was a very slow process and took lots of backwards and forwards motions, we had a great break through. I used this video to assist with this skill. https://youtube.com/watch?v=InvGz8uLpx0&feature=share||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Cookie is amazing at place as well as paws up. They focused on the goal of getting her to put her feet on 4 different pods. Cookie performed well with her front legs and easily distinguished the pods were for each foot but struggled with her rear end. The trainer removed 2 of the pods and just focused on getting Cookie to back up onto 2 pods using her back feet. This was really challenging for Cookie so we did this against the wall (this way overstepping the pod was ruled out). She did well but does struggle with widening her back legs and directing them to certain areas. With practice she will nail this at home.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
