Cookie struggled to remain focused today with Poppy around. The trainers worked on their training separately so they had their full attention during training.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her first session we worked on some door manners with Cookie. Cookie did have a new trainer with her today so took a bit to focus on the new person. She did drop well but at the start did occasionally break as the door swung towards her. After a few times she was much better and would stay in drop while the door was opened. To push her a little further the trainer had her go into drop and stay in drop while walking through the door which Cookie did excellent with. At home practice having Cookie in sits or drops while going through doorways to help with her manners.||Focus: Manners||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: The second skill worked on Cookies 'orbit'. Although she was a little distracted she did really well. The main focus for this skill was to fade the lure to work on fading the hand signal. To begin with Cookie only struggled when walking backwards in front of the trainer therefore she focused on luring her back and forth until she got the hang of it. By the end of the session she was performing with no food lure and just the hand signal. The trainer look forward to further fading the hand signal now.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Exposure||Comment: Continuing from last week, they worked in the cattery to further encourage a relaxed state when Cookie is around cats. She was a little distracted at first and pulled a few times but overall had good focus and engagement with the trainer. It is important to keep this conditioning up to encourage appropriate behaviour.||Focus: Desensitisation||A|
