The little Cookie Monster was very excited to begin training today!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For cookies first session we practiced door manners. At first Cookie started by barging through doors and struggled because she was so excited, to help control that we put her in a controlled position “drop” and after the trainer walked through the door we released and rewarded her for good manners. By the end of the session she was doing so well and had full attention on the trainer and was showing good understanding of the skill. When Cookie is in a state of higher arousal she can struggle with her manners however she is quick to recover.||Focus: Manners||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: We started off with distance but we realised she struggles with dropping by the trainers side when commanded at a distance. We practiced dropping next to the trainer, having to use our hand to block her from moving in front of us, she needs some practice but she’s doing well.||Focus: Back to Basics||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Cookie did very well at place in the cattery, she remained in place no matter the cat/ bird distractions around, she did very well with distance and showed high understanding of the skill. To further challenge her we focused on send to place with distance where she had to run by a number of cats without stopping to go to place.||Focus: Conditioning||B+|
