|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her first session, Cookie focused on learning how to ride a skateboard with three paws. As this is a different variation on a known skill, we went back to basics with a step that simulates the skateboard to guide her into the correct position. Cookie initially struggled; she would place two paws or all four onto the step. With patients and guidance from the trainer, she slowly began to place three paws onto the step.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her second session, Cookie continued to focus on developing the skill 'skateboard' with three paws. As she has completed one session the trainer used shaping and spatial pressure to guide Cookie into the correct position. Cookie initially struggled but as the session progressed, she began to understand and place three paws into the step with no lure or guidance from her trainer.||Focus: Foundation||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her final session, Cookie focused on further developing her skill chin rest, building towards balance a treat on her nose. Cookie performs well with her chin rest, however, as soon as the trainer moves their hand she breaks, this was worked on throughout the session. She initially struggled but began to progress well, the trainer was able move their hand around her head while she held the position.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Cookie was challenged with remaining in passive drop while the trainer worked with another dog. The cookie broke drop once within the first minute but then maintain it well.||Focus: Duration||B+|
