Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Door Manners Comment: Session one with Cookie we started with her manners in a drop leaving the kennels to the classroom. Cookie didn’t start off to a great start due to over excitement she was barking and whining. The trainer put her in a drop and didn’t release or reward her until she was calm. It did take a few gos for cookie to calm down but she did do a lot better once making it to the classroom. For the remainder of the session in the classroom the trainer spent the lesson testing her drop manners further. Focus: Manners C
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Session two with Cookie we continued to practiced her jump rope skill. The trainer continued to use a lure and reward her for jumping. This was repeated through the session, cookie is doing really well. The first step to her skill is coming along nicely. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Session three with Cookie we practiced her skill of loose lead outside around the facility. Cookie had a rough session this session, she lacked engagement with the trainer and barked at anyone around. To redirect her barking the trainer put her in a drop and rewarded her for once released for being calm. When cookie was in a drop she did a lot better. The trainer spent the remainder of the session both practicing loose lead and drops. Focus: Manners D+
