|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In her first session, Cookie was excited to be training. The trainer used her excitement to work on her manners surrounding walking in and out doors. We focused on this skill as while she is excited she can rush through doors. Cookie initially struggled to perform her drop as she was too excited, however within a few minutes she began to focus and perform well. Once she was engaged she showed great manners and waited for the trainer to release her before moving through the door.||Focus: Manners||B+|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: In her second session, Cookie focused on further developing her recall within a new environment the kennel playpen. The trainer began this session on a long line to ensure she would recall before beginning off lead recalls. On lead Cookie performs very well, she shows great engagement and recalls perfectly. When off lead she can become more distracted by the environment, but with some guidance and an excitable trainer, she began to perform well. To finish off this session Cookie had some zoomies around the playpen, having the time of her life.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her final session, Cookie focused on having some fun and learning the new skill backwards weave. Cookie knows both weaves and walks backwards very well, to challenge her further the trainer combined the two. Cookie performed very well, she quickly followed a lure to walk backwards between the trainer's legs. We started with only two steps as she is still learning the skill. As the session progressed we were able to reduce the lure while she continued to perform well.||Focus: Foundation||B|
