|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her first session we worked on Cookie's Drop skill. Cookie still needs a heavy lure so our focus was on starting to fade the lure and building up her duration. She is so food motivated it was tricky to start fading the lure but she is starting to get the idea - practice luring her into drops without food and work on repetition. Her duration did improve throughout the session and she was able to hold drop nicely near the end. The next steps are to start building the distraction level by taking steps away and having her maintain her drop.||Focus: Duration||B+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her second session we worked on her loose lead in the classroom. She did quite well in this environment without any other dogs around and was able to do some sits while walking. Her engagement was good but could be improved upon. We also did a little bit of loose lead outside but this was a bit too much for her and she did pull a bit so we returned to the classroom to finish off nicely. She does also have a tendency to lean into the trainer while walking - use lures to help guide her out into the correct position. At home practice walking her in different low distraction environments with a focus on engagement.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For her last session we worked on engagement with another dog present. When the dog first entered we already had Cookie in a drop - she did break when the dog entered but with a few minutes of guidance and treats she settled into her drop though was still barking a bit. By the end of the session she was ignoring the other dog and had full focus on the trainer which is great!||Focus: Desensitisation||X|
