Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: For her first session today Cookie worked on something new! We recently got a large wobble board so we wanted to see if she could balance her whole body on it! Cookie was a little bit hesitant at the start to put her back legs up but with lots of luring and yummy treats she finally climbed up! She did jump off straight away but by the end of the session she was happily jumping on and standing there until released! This wobble board is great for their balance and strength! Focus: Conditioning A
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: For Cookies second session today she worked on something really fun. This included a circuit of tunnel, around, jump through the hoop and the wobble board! We worked on each one separately for a while just to get her warmed up but we quickly moved into sending her to random tasks! She did so well with this and we were even able to send her to place throughout the circuits. We decided to keep it random so she had to listen and couldn’t just go on autopilot. Cookie had so much fun with this and was happy to sit down for a break! Focus: Repetition A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For her last session today we worked on her figure 8 skill! Thanks to the handy notes we were able to work on this! Cookie seems to have great knowledge of this skill and was following a hand signal without treats! We kept repeating this, we would have her do approx 4-5 circuits before rewarding her! She loves this skill and was zooming around our feet no problem! Focus: Foundation B
