|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building)||Comment: Clarrie’s first session was the confidence course and he happily trotted off around it without the trainer. Halfway around he turned back to say well are you coming. This was the section with noodles overhead and Clarrie was a little worried. However, treats helped. He managed to navigate that section a few times albeit slowly but he did great.||Focus: Confidence||X|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Next up for Clarrie was place. He was a little nervous as there was another dog training, however he still did what he needed to do. When the dog left the classroom Clarrie settled a little more and was happier to then try and break place more to follow the trainer as she moved around the place bed. Upping the treats a little helped Clarrie stay on place regardless of the trainer squatting near Clarrie. At home keep practicing in different areas and up the treats for a small period of Clarrie keeps breaking.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: Paws up was the final session for Clarrie. This skill is to help Clarrie gain confidence and have a sense of achievement. Clarrie was great with the big step and popped up on that no worries. But smaller objects he did struggle with. He managed after lots of luring to do paws up on an unstable item but he was nervous about it. This is something that Clarrie will get better at as he does it more and has more success! Try at home by luring him with food on to different things.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
