Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Like Edgar, straight out the kennel's Clarrie struggled with his loose lead. A little walk around near the kennel dogs and he started to settle. As the walk progressed Clarrie's engagement was fantastic and even with the distractions of the animals he only lost focus a couple of times. But a quick change of direction and he was back on track. Well done Clarrie. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Clarrie did struggle with his drops today, to begin with. He was very slow to get in position if at all. Using the uhuh and slight lead pressure and he did get in position. The foot break was also used to help him self correct when he wanted to break, when he was distracted with the animals. However, towards the end of the session he was getting in position much quicker and holding it longer. His focus wasn't as good as it should have been, but it was a big improvement on yesterday. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Place training was Clarrie's final session and after a shaky start he finished well. He didn't want to hold place at all to begin with as he was very distracted. However, getting him on and off place in quick succession, helped bring his focus back He did try to break a couple of times when the trainer moved around him, but he was corrected and again ended the session well. Focus: Distraction B
