|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Charlotte’s first session was loose lead walking. A skill that dogs have to learn as they don’t naturally do it. She did really well for her first session. She pulled a bit at the start. But the trainer changed direction when she pulled and before long she was walking passed other dogs with no pulling. Next time the trainer would like to push her distractions to include the good smells on the property!||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Charlotte’s second session was place. A great skill to have for when visitors come over and the dog has a spot to go and be calm and not jump on people. At first the trainer lured Charlotte onto the place. As the session progressed Charlotte worked out what she needed to do so the trainer started working with Charlotte to start to stay in place rather than jump straight off. The next goal for Charlotte will be to stay on the bed with low level distractions.||Focus: Duration||D+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Drop was Charlotte’s final session. A great skill to use in emergencies when out walking and also a skill to stop jumping. Like place Charlotte needed to be lured into position and the as the session progressed the trainer worked with Charlotte to help her stay in position for a bit longer. Next time the trainer would like Charlotte to remain in drop while the trainer stands upright.||Focus: Duration||D|
