|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Cez first session today was drops. This was done outside near the yards with dog distraction. And they were a distraction! He was very slow to get into position because he was so busy looking around. The trainer used Uhuh and a bit of leash pressure and soon Cez was doing much better. The trainer did a number of quick repetitions to get Cez to engage more. Then as the session progressed the trainer had duration as a focus. Next time it will be good to see Cez settle quicker and engage more.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Next up for Cez was place. He pulled and got very excited by a dog running in the yards. Once the trainer created a little more distance Cez settled enough to go on place and start to engage with the trainer. He did get restless and bored. He then tried to get off place a number of times. However he stayed on place for distractions like cows and other people. The trainer will continue to push this skill in the next session.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Last up was a game of red light green light with drop as well as continuing with gate manners. Cez loved the flirt pole. The trainer would stop the game mid chase for Cez to drop. Although at times a little slow to drop he did listen well. Towards the end of the session he was dropping straight away as he knew the game restarted when he dropped. This is a good game for Cez to learn to use his listening ears even when super excited.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
