Cadbury did really well today, he was a little bit distracted but still did what was asked.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his first session today we worked on loose lead walking outside. He is really good at this and didn’t pull on the lead so we focused on his engagement with the trainer. He would look towards the trainer when his name was called but we want him to just check in regardless with us to receive a reward. It isn’t critical but it’s nice to know that they’re aware of the person who is at the other end of the lead. To work on this, engagement games are a good idea! This includes throwing a treat, letting them eat it and then saying yes so they come back for another treat.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his second session today we worked on his place skill, particularly working on duration. He did really well with this and wasn’t too bothered by distractions. It was just when his mum walked past that he stepped off to follow. He isn’t phased by much which is really awesome and allows us to really push his skill! Even with the trainer jumping around the raised bed he didn’t budge.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his last skill we worked on his drop durations outside. He did really well with this as he seemed pretty tired and happy to stay in that position! The trainer was able to walk all around him and act silly but he wouldn’t stand up, which is exactly what we want! He got quite fixated on people as they walked past and didn’t focus much on the trainer but still didn’t break position.||Focus: Duration||A|
