Cadbury performed well today, he is starting to get the hang of touch and showing good engagement despite a high distracting environment.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In his first session Cadbury focused on further developing his skill loose lead and engagement while walking around Molly. Similarly, to Molly, Cadbury was initially distracted and showed little engagement, he was also pulling towards Molly. As she session progressed, he slowly began to redirect his focus and perform well.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: In his second session Cadbury focused on further developing his skill ‘touch’ within the classroom (Molly in passive drop). Cadbury performed well, he was a little hesitant to interact with the target but quickly began to touch it with his nose. Cadbury was reliably touching the target with his nose while in a drop.||Focus: Foundation||C|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In between each session Cadbury was in passive drop, he successfully remained in drop despite the high activity classroom.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: In his final session, similarly to Molly, Cadbury focused on conditioning to bandaging, we believe this is a great skill for our dogs to be exposed to, ensuring if it is ever needed, they have been conditioned already. Cadbury initially pulled his paw away from the trainer, however with patients and lots of treats he slowly began to allow the trainer to hold and bandage his paw. We suggest practicing this at home.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
