Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Bunji was a little nervous to start off with today and was only a little interested in treats (didn't start eating them until about halfway through the session). We worked on place to start off with to help him settle. Bunjil showed a very basic knowledge of place in the classroom and would struggle with duration while on place. He was easily distracted and would often wander off the place to explore or get to treats. At home work on building up duration and light level distractions (moving a few steps away while he remains on place) and make sure to use his markers. Focus: Duration B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Bunji was so much more confident and engaged this session. He was focused on the trainer and did a great job following hand signals into drop. At the beginning of his session he broke easily from drops but as the session progressed he was able to hold drop while the trainer was moving around and doing small jumps. He did well with not reacting to the other dog in the room and remained engaged with the trainer. He even did a few verbal only drops! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his last session we worked on loose lead in the cattery. Bunji did struggle to focus with this skill for his first 5 minutes and would often pull to investigate areas. Once he had settled down he did much better and would often "check in" with the trainer for treats. While he ended up walking nicely in the cattery he did pull a fair bit on the way back to the kennels. Focus: Distraction B
