Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In his first session, Bunji focused on further developing his skill loose lead around the pet retreat facility. Bunji struggled to show engagement throughout this session, the trainer moved to a lower distracting area to help improve her focus. Once in the lower distracting area, he began to build engagement and perform well. While walking in the classroom he began to react (bark) towardthe other dogs in the classroom. The trainer used this known skill of drop to help redirect his focus and settle him. Focus: Distraction C
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In his second session, Bunji focused on further developing his skill drop with conditioning dogs within the classroom. We focused on this skill as he showed signs of reactivity towards dogs in his first session. Bunji was initially distracted by the other dogs and struggled to respond to the drop command. As the session progressed he began to redirect his focus and perform well. Focus: Conditioning C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his final session, Bunji focused on further developing his skill sit pretty within the classroom (one dog nearby). We focused on this skill to further condition him for dogs and build his duration in this skill. Bunji performed well. He quickly followed a lure into the sit pretty position but is still developing his duration. This is to be expected as it is a new skill that requires muscle growth before he can perform 100%. Keep practising at home, this will help strengthen his muscles. Make it easier for him to perform this skill. Focus: Foundation B
