|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: To start buddys training today, we worked on drop in the classroom. There were 2 other dogs working in the classroom to test buddy’s engagement. Although he was very excited and wanted to say hello to all the other dogs, he did well in his drops. His duration was very short at the beginning of the session, but by the end he was staying in drop for much longer. Working on this skill further, we can increase his duration in drop and further develop his confidence in this skill when there are distractions.
|Skill learnt: Place Training
|Comment: To further test buddy’s engagement while other dogs were around him training, we worked on place, and he did very well. Resisting treats and other dogs, he went on place and had great duration! Although when toys went rolling across the room, he couldn’t help but chase them. He needed a reminder that he was supposed to be on place, so we guided him back to his place and he continued showing great duration.
|Skill learnt: Spin
|Comment: For Buddy’s final session, we had some fun and worked on spin. Buddy was initially a bit confused by this skill, and would get a bit confused by his legs, but he quickly got the hang of it! The classroom was very busy at this time, so buddy had a bit of a hard time with his engagement. Moving forward, we can continue to work on his spin skill, building more confidence in it. And we can also work on settling in a busy environment.

D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
