Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: Bolt's sessions began when he arrived at the Hedgrove pet retreat facility. While in the van, he was displaying nervous, fearful and aggressive behaviours towards the trainers. On approach he would begin to growl and create space (move away). The trainers spent his sessions focusing on conditioning, build his confidence and trust around people. This included approaching Bolt, giving him treats and reassurance, then leaving. The trainers used multiple short sessions throughout the morning, each session he began to gain confidence with the trainers and very slowly begin to relax. He slowly began to not growl when the trainers approached and remain lying down. When multiple people approached, he continued to growl. The trainers continued to work with Bolt when in the kennel, he continued to show nervous behaviours and create space. Focus: Conditioning X

We recommend your next step should be…

Consider an intensive Board & Train

A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well DoneĀ (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.

X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
