Our feedback
Boat was a little tired after his hydro so we took it a bit easy with his skills today. He still did some really good work though!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |
---|---|---|---|
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down | Comment: For his first session we took Boat into the cattery to work on his loose lead skill. Boat was very distracted by the cats in the pens and would pull towards them and bark quite a bit so we focused more on his drop duration skill and conditioning him to being around the cats. By the end of the session he was still quite distracted by then but was no longer barking much at them. | Focus: Distraction | C |
Skill learnt: Place Training | Comment: For his second session we got out the big wobble balance board and worked on getting Boat to put 4 paws on (instead of just 2) and building up his duration on it. Boat easily went to 2 paws on it but needed lots of luring to get him up to 4 paws but he would only do it briefly before stepping off. By the end he was getting more confident and was starting to sit and rock gently on it with all 4 paws on for a little bit before getting off. | Focus: Confidence | B |
Skill learnt: Ring a Bell | Comment: For his last session as something fun and easy to finish up with we worked on having Boat ringing the ship bell. He loved this and found it quite easy as he loves to grab onto things! He had no fear with the loud noise though sometimes would hit the bell directly instead of grabbing the rope. | Focus: Repetition | B+ |
