It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: First session Bo worked on some blower conditioning. We utilised her place skill to give her a “job” to do and focus on that rather than the blower. After some initial hesitation Bo happily settled on place around the sounds and was able to sent to place with the blower on. At home with her going for the robo vac, utilise Bo’s place skill or drop skill while it’s going to redirect unwanted behaviours or place in her crate. It is important to manage these behaviours and give her a “job” to do (place/drop) to focus on the task at hand instead of the vacuum. Focus: Conditioning B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Bo’s second session we headed over to the pony club next door to work on her loose lead and drop skill. This environment helps add higher level distractions and simulates real life scenarios of being out and about. We also had another dog being trained nearby for extra distractions. Bo smashed it today, she had great engagement while walking and dropping from just a verbal cue. She did break her drops a couple of times for some pesky magpies but overall did really well. Keep pushing these skills in higher distraction environments to strengthen further. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Final session Bo was back over at the pony club to work on her recall. Again like the previous session this environment provides higher distractions to help strengthen her recall. We worked on a long line today with additional dog distractions. Bo is doing really well with her recalls! She recalled every time the trainer called her and was quite speedy coming to them. She recalled over obstacles and had focus only for her trainer. Keep working on this in new environments on lead to push it further. Great work!! Focus: Distraction A
