Bo Peep's Doggy Dayschool Report

2024-02-06

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Targeting (touch) Comment: As part of “The Month of Love” we practiced some touch targeting using our hand. Gradually moving our hand closer to our face to start teaching her “kiss”. She picked this up super quick, we were able to face out our hand quickly and get lots of repetitions where she touched our cheek with her nose! See how you go, try sitting next to her and say “kiss,” if she struggles go back to basics and use your hand to target where you want her! We finished this session off with a photoshoot, practicing her drop duration while the trainer place different objects around her! Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: This session we focused on her middles skill. We noticed she struggled going from the front. She would often sit facing the wrong way between the trainers legs. To help her out we used a treat to help lure her around, facing the right direction! She had a few successful attempts without the lure but definitely work on this at home, getting her to spin around to face the right way. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For her last session we worked on her drop skill, mixing it up between duration, pushing distractions and working on her “leave it” while in position. She was a bit slow getting into position however once in her drop she did well to hold it! Focus: Distraction B+

We recommend your next step should be…
