Bo Peep's Doggy Dayschool Report

2023-09-01

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: First session Bo worked on her sit pretty trick. She is showing good progress in this and beginning to build some duration. She still needs a bit of help with a lure to help get her up into position. With some more practise you can begin adding the verbal cue while luring and eventually fade out the lure. Focus: Duration B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Second session Bo worked on her loose lead with Woody out in the carpark. We started with them at opposite ends from each other to build their engagement individually. From there Bo worked on walking with Woody behind her, in front of her and having the two walked side by side. Bo can occasionally fall behind or start looking for Woody when they aren’t walking side by side but did really well today keeping her focus on the trainer. Keep working on this at home, they are showing great progress! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Final session Bo worked on her Paws Up skill. She was hesitant of the pod at first but by the end of the session we had introduced the verbal cue “paws up” and began building duration. This is fantastic progress and from here we can use this skill in different environments to promote engagement and confidence building and begin building rear end awareness. Focus: Duration B

We recommend your next step should be…
