Blue performed well today, he is showing good confidence in the classroom, he did become a little overwhelmed when the classroom got busy but redirected his focus quickly.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In his first session, Blue focused on further developing his engagement with loose lead walking in the busy classroom environment (three other dogs training nearby). Blue was initially distracted by the dogs and people in the classroom but quickly redirected his focus to perform well. He successfully remained focused while walking.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his second session, Blue focused on building his obedience skill drop. We focused on this skill to begin working on his basic obedience and impulse control. Blue showed minimal knowledge of this skill, he initially struggled to follow a lure from stand or sit into the drop position. The trainer used a different method of following treats under their legs. This is an alternative method for dogs who are struggling to follow a lure. After a few repetitions he began to perform well, he did become distracted at times during this session, the trainer simply played engagement games to help redirect his focus.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: In his final session, Blue focused on conditioning to wheels and moving objects, as well as building his impulse control to not chase these objects. Blue performed very well, he showed minimal interest in the objects (scooter, skateboard, toy car, etc). The trainer could push the objects in front of him, next to him and all around him while he ignored them.||Focus: Manners||B+|
