Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Billie began her day practicing her ‘paws up’ skill, focusing on building her confidence on the wobble board. At first she was quite cautious, only being game enough to put her front 2 paws on, but with the help of many treats, Billie was able to get all 4 paws on!!! YAY!! She only stays on briefly with all paws, so we will continue to work on her duration! Keep practicing this at home! Focus: Confidence B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Next up, Billie worked on her ‘drop’ skill, still focusing on building her duration as she has the habit of breaking position wherever she wants. To help build her duration, frequent rewards are given, and the last treat in hand being thrown away from her as we say “break”, so begins to learn she is only to get up when we release her. Keep pushing this with her at home, she is a clever girl, but she can be cheeky so just ensure you are being firm with her. Focus: Duration B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: To end the day, bubba Billie worked on her ‘roll over’ tricking, focusing on the foundation. She SMASHED it!! Take a look at our instagram story to see how we do it! Essentially, just use a treat lure to get her onto her side, then continue to follow through so she rolls alllll the way over! Keep practicing at home so she can become a pro! Awesome work today, Billie! Focus: Foundation B+
