Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Biggie’s first session was place. He did need to go back a step and remember that he couldn’t just jump off place. As the session progressed Biggie did well to stay on place with the trainer walking around, jumping and squatting a little distance away. Another dog did enter the classroom during Biggie’s session and he did give a little bark. But the trainer brought Biggie’s attention back to what he needed to be doing. Going forward the trainers will increase the distractions for Biggie. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Second session for Biggie was drops. He did struggle with holding the drop and and the trainer work with Biggie to get him to hold his drop while the trainer could then stand straight up. Going forward the goal is for Biggie to hold the drop while the trainer takes a couple of steps away and start to increase that distance and the distractions. Focus: Duration C+
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: The trainer took Biggie through the confidence course for his final session. The really helps dog experience different thing around them, gives them confidence which helps their training! Biggie was a little uncertain about parts of the course at the start but by the end of the session he was flying through it. Awesome work. Focus: Repetition X
