|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building)||Comment: Great to see Bentley back! He appeared very happy when the trainer went to collect him from the kennels and trotted along nicely on the way to the confidence course. He came across another dog and was interested but didn’t adversely react despite the other dog having a bark! Bentley enjoyed a number of circuits around the course. Given the warmer weather the trainer wasn’t inclined to run around the course, Bentley was quite comical turning back to the trainer as if to say hurry up! Great first session.||Focus: Repetition||X|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Bentleys second session was a confidence walk around the property. He pulled quite a lot when he thought he was going to the office but after that he was happy to have an explore around. He is still a little stressed which shows through his panting. But he did well. He did bark at another staff member but they both got startled so it was an acceptable reaction. But Bentley did keep barking so his resilience is low. It would be great to be able to build that back up.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Final session for Bentley was a bit of a mixed bag. The trainer started with place and another entered to train and Bentley did react initially but settle quickly. As the session progressed Bentley was taking treats well so the trainer started to do drops a little closer to the other dog and Bentley did well. The trainer then did send to place with three different place positions. Bentley did struggle a little with this and at times would stop just short of the place bed. Overall Bentley did well for his first session back. He took treats well through all sessions but is still showing signs of stress.||Focus: Distraction||A+|
