2022-01-18

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: Bentley settled well and the trainer was able to take him out of the holding bats with no worries. Today the trainer put him in the yards near the classroom and he settled really well in there. So this is what we may use in the future. First up the trainer took Bentley to the confidence course. Although he does love going through it he does still need the initial encouragement. But he did well today and his happy smile and wagging tail shows it! Focus: Repetition X
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Next up was a confidence walk and the trainer took him through the paddock. The trainer also got him to do paws up on a big log. Bentley wasn’t keen but the trainer used a little leash pressure and treats and Bentley then put his paws up. He did it a number of times after that and he got so proud with himself. It was awesome to see!! He did a great job and it was worthwhile pushing him a little to see him acknowledge he could do it! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Targeting (touch) Comment: Bentley’s final session was touch. He wasn’t to keen but the trainer did get a number of touches in before Bentley did stop. Then the trainer put the fritz on the spoon and did touch that way. It worked well for a while before Bentley lost interest. But he did well. Focus: Repetition C
