|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Bentley's first session was the usual confidence walk and he was quite playful. The trainer ran along with him and then got him to turn and come back. It was great to see him playing like this. The trainer also got Bentley to do paws up and although the trainer had to work to get him to do it, he got there in the end.||Focus: Confidence||X|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next up was drops. The trainer used the bottom carpark and headed away from the driveway. This way Bentley was reluctant to go into drop and when he did he circled back around the trainer to try and face the other way. Using a number of quick repetitions Bentley was getting into position quicker. The trainer then worked on preventing Bentley circling around. By the end of the session he was doing better but something to continue working on next time.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: Next up was a focus on his 'middle' skill. The trainer had to out Bentley in a drop and then encouraged him to put his head through the trainer's arms. At first the trainer circled her arm but held it away from her body giving Bentley lots of room. But as the session progressed the trainer made the circle smaller. Bentley did a great job and the majority of the time did the skill. It will be good to be able to have Bentley start to do this regardless of where he is standing!||Focus: Repetition||B|
