|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Bella’s first session today was focused on her place skill. We had another dog in the room doing passive place so he wasn’t moving around which was a great distraction level for Bella. We worked on sending her to place and also releasing her into a drop position. Bella has great knowledge of this skill and we were able to work around another dog without her barking! Keep up the good work.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Bella’s second session today we worked on her “walk behind” skill. We did a mixture of this and loose lead so she can start to get used to alternating between the two. To start with we walked next to a wall so we could block her from creeping up the side but she did super well we could move away. We made sure to have a treat at the ready incase we needed to lure her back behind us. With a quick hand movement behind us she would fall back into position. Clearly a lot of work has gone into this skill and it’s paying off!||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: For her last session today Bella worked on her paws up and drop skill around dog distractions. She is really good with both of these skills so it makes it a little easier when introducing distractions. With the same dog on place as earlier we would walk by at a safe distance and do a drop or paws up. She didn’t react towards this dog once which is awesome, keeping it at a good threshold and keeping the experience positive is critical.||Focus: Distraction||B|
