|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Bella’s first session was place. She did take a while to settle with doing this skill outside, however as time went one she was no longer breaking position. Bella was very vocal throughout the session and the trainer rewarded Bella when she was quiet. She does get bored sitting there but the trainer pushed Bella to stay on play and she did lay down. She was great with the coming and going of people and although interested she didn’t react.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Next up was loose lead walking. This was mainly done up by the kennels and Bella did a great job. As the session progressed the trainer reduced the frequency of treats and Bella wasn’t as focused on the trainer but she kept checking in. She did really well and didn’t react to the other dogs, although she did look. You are doing a great job with her! Well done.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Last up the trainer wanted to start to teach Bella to hold a toy. However this was done on place near the kennel yards! Once Bella was on place and focused the trainer waited for Bella to touch the toy. Then when Bella was doing that the trainer waited for Bella to grab the toy. Next steps will be getting Bella to hold it in her mouth for longer. Bella did get distracted a number of times with the other dogs but her focus was quickly w back. Once again she did a good job. Next time it will be good to get Bella on place closer to the other dogs to work new skills. Goals!||Focus: Repetition||C+|
