|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Bella really struggled with engagement for her first session today. She was very distracted by all the things in her environment and was pulling the trainer quite a lot. To help get her engaged the trainer kept changing directions and making it fun. By the end she was a bit more focused and was showing the trainer some promising engagement.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Bella’s engagement was much better for this session, we walked outside and did some red-light-green-light drops. This means she gets all excited and then is told to drop suddenly. She did ok with this, sometimes a bit slow to get into position and she struggled to hold position if there were distractions or if it was for an extended period. Overall though she did pretty good with this.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her last session today we worked on Bella’s loose lead outside and in the kennels today. She was very focused outside and gave the trainer excellent engagement. She still pulls a little bit on the lead but the trainer made sure to keep things interesting and change directions often. However in the kennels she struggled to remain focused with the trainer. She was very distracted by the other kennel dogs, however if enough treats were used she would happily oblige. We worked near the kennels with no dogs in them so her focus would be on the trainer. Her engagement did improve eventually but a long way to go with dog distractions.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
