Beani's Doggy Dayschool Report

2024-01-05

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his first session we worked on some loose lead walking in a kennel run next to Kombi. Beani was a bit off with his loose lead today - he lacked engagement and seemed quite distracted. However, Beani aced his behaviour around Kombi today, he flicked his head towards Kombi a few times but had zero other reaction to Kombi's presence. Such a great improvement with the boys! Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: For his second session we worked on recalls in the cattery. Beani was still a bit off this session and lacked focus with the trainer (though he did get his happy butt wiggles for trainer Shevi!). We did one or two short ones, he would come to the trainer but it was a bit slow and he would be watching the cat runs as he came up. As he was quite distracted we moved back outside for some loose lead and play in the pool which he did do but I think the heat is just putting him off that little bit today (and he was uninterested in his treats). Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Targeting (touch) Comment: Since Beani was a bit out of routine we finished up with some touch skill inside for something easier. He did start taking some of his treats this session but again was very distracted by sounds and stuff going on in the kennels (he is probably not used to them being so busy!). He was a bit sooky and wanting cuddles from the trainer so we only managed to get a few touches of the wand/stick. Once Beani settles back into the routine we should be able to start pushing skills again. Focus: Repetition C

We recommend your next step should be…
