|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In his first session, Barney focused on further developing his skill loose lead around high distracting environment (around the kennel area with a dog playing in the playpen). Barney was initially distracted by the environment and struggled to show engagement. The trainer used his known skill of drop to redirect his focus. This performed well, the began to slowly engage with his trainer and ignore the dog.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his second session, Barney focused on further developing his skill drop with duration, under distractions. We focused on this skill as he can struggle to hold duration in his drop. During this session Barney was outside, he responded very well to the drop cue and held good duration under low distractions. As the session progressed the trainer slowly increased the distraction by creating distance (moving away and around him). Barney initially struggled to hold his drop but with some guidance, he quickly began to perform well.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In his final session, Barney focused on further developing his skill sit pretty. We focused on this skill to have some fun for his last session. Barney performed well, he follows a lure quickly into the sit pretty position and is beginning to show good duration. Halfway through this session Mr Barney became quite tired and stopped following the lure. The trainer spent several minutes working on his drop duration so he could have a rest.||Focus: Foundation||B|
