Our feedback
Baloo had some good fun today but did get a little overexcitable at times. We wouldn't have him any other way though!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |
---|---|---|---|
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down | Comment: We decided to get some obedience out of the way first and worked on Baloo's emergency drops while walking and then moving onto red light/green light. Initially he kept sitting when asked to drop but after some repetitions started doing his drops quicker and more reliably. Again when moving to red light/green light he took a few goes to do the skill properly but then was happily doing it for the play. | Focus: Distraction | B |
Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: For his second session we continued work on Baloo's selfie skill. We started off using the couch and just luring him onto the trainer's shoulder then switched to doing it on the floor for the second half. Baloo can be very food fixated so we worked on having him positioned behind the trainer first (in a sit or drop) and then luring him onto the shoulder which he was able to do several times. He can get a little overexcited and start climbing on the front or side of the trainer but we just reset him behind each time. | Focus: Repetition | B |
Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: For his last session we worked on orbit (moving backwards around the trainer) as Baloo is so food motivated! He did keep trying to do spins or middles but we were still able to get several good repetitions of him tucking around the trainer and almost making it halfway through the orbit. This is a great skill to keep working on to help with rear end awareness and have him following a lure backwards and changing angles. | Focus: Duration | B |
