Baloo was very confident around his Auntie Jess but lacked some confidence without her! As the day progressed he responded better to the environment and displayed more confidence!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: We started Baloo with place training to build confidence within the classroom because he was nervous with the surrounding distractions (noisy dogs and trainers). We focused on creating duration on place with rewards, he did very well but struggled with distance and his release word.||Focus: Back to Basics||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: We needed to use a lure to encourage Baloo into the skill but once in the drop he had great duration. He struggled with his release word but with some games and play he started to develop a better understanding. Towards the end of the session he was going into drops with less luring!||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: To begin with Baloo pulled quite a bit however with correct handling and direction his engagement increased and pulling reduced. We continued the loose lead outside where he was more distracted however still improved with his loose lead. When he is startled he will go into a drop and refuse to walk. This shows he lacks confidence so we took a step back and conditioned the distractions until he was confident enough to continue.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
