Beautiful Baloo! He was so well behaved today and did so well for his training.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: To start off Baloo’s day, he practiced his ‘loose lead’ walking and ‘drops’ outside with another dog. Baloo was a little excited at first, but settled into a nice walking groove. He performed his drops well, but he would often break without being released as the other dog was a little too distracting at times. In the future we want Baloo to be able to withstand these distractions, maybe taking him a step back to lower distractions would help and then we can revisit his doggy distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For Baloo’s next session we took him into the cattery for some cat exposure. He was a little unsure of the cats when they would hiss, but he remained in his drop position which was great. Keep up the great work with him and those pesky cat distractions!!||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: To finish off Baloo’s big day, we worked on his ‘skateboard’ skill. He is improving so much with this. Today he was able to push himself for majority of the session, only needing help to move it right at the beginning. Keep practicing this with using a lure in front of his nose and slowly moving it away from him. It works better if his paws are just below the middle of the board, closer to him so he has less chance of tipping it over. Superb work today Baloo!!||Focus: Duration||B|
