|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Baloo began his day with practicing his ‘drop’ skill during his ‘loose lead’ walking outside. At first he was a little cray-cray, but settled down after a minute. Baloo had great engagement and dropped exactly when told without fail!! He did want to chase a bird, but with the use of his non-reward marker “ah ah”, he gave his attention back to the trainer. Keep up the awesome work with these skills, he is doing so well!!||Focus: Distraction||A|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: Next up, Baloo worked on his ‘middles’ skill in the classroom, adding in different angles. He did really well!! He would often try to perform the skill without being asked, but with the use or his non-reward marker “ah ah”, he would return to his previous position and wait until asked, which is still really good! He would sometimes sit in the middles skill and sometimes he would just stand. If sitting is something you want from him, he followed the lure into a sit nicely, but if you are not fussed then just reward him as normal. The next step for Baloo could be beginning to walk forwards and backwards while in the position, just making it a little bit more challenging for him!||Focus: Distraction||A|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: To finish up, Baloo worked on his ‘drop’ skill, focusing on duration with distractions again. He did really well!! Although he wanted to break a few times (mainly when the trainer was cleaning up the distractions, like toys), he resisted and waited for his reward like the goodest boy! He had an awesome day today!! Keep pushing this at home though, we want for him to keep up this amazing work so we can increase the distractions even more!||Focus: Duration||A|
