Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his first session, Baloo focused on further developing his skill skateboard within the classroom with multiple dogs nearby. Baloo was initially very excited to be training, the first few minutes the trainer worked on his drop to help him settle. Once relaxed we started working on his skateboard. Baloo quickly jumps onto the skateboard, he can be overexcited and push it away, the trainer placed there foot in front of the skateboard so it wouldn't move. He still requires a lure to walk, but this is quickly being reduced. Focus: Foundation B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his second session, Baloo focused on further developing his skill Quoits within the classroom. Baloo performed well, he interacts with the rings quickly, by touching them with his nose or opening his mouth onto it. After several repetitions, the trainer began to put the ring on the group to challenge him further. Baloo began to pick the ring right up off the ground, he would drop the ring quickly. As the session progressed he began to hold the ring for longer before dropping it on the floor. Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his final session, Baloo focused on further developing his skill around within the high distracting classroom. We focused on this skill to build his engagement and recall. Baloo initially showed little knowledge of the around skill, however with a small lure he quickly began to leave the bed, walk around the cone and go back onto the bed. This lure was quickly faded as the session progressed. The trainer also began to increase the distance from the bed to the cone. Baloo continued to perform well. Focus: Foundation B+
