"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Baloo began his day with ‘loose lead’ walking outside. Baloo had incredible engagement when it was just him and the trainer, but when another dog were to appear, Baloo would lose his focus and want to go greet them, but we were able to regain his attention pretty easily, he would just keep looking back to the other dog. We want Baloo to keep progressing with this skill so he is able to withstand those doggy distractions in the future & be able to give us his full attention.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Next up, we focused on Baloo’s duration with place, drop and sit. He did very well with his ‘place’ duration and did not break once, even with other dogs coming in and out of the room. We then moved to his ‘drop’ duration, he struggled a bit more and jumped back onto place when a dog came by. Lastly Baloo practiced his ‘sit’ duration, which he did very well in, he remained in a sit for a couple minutes. We want Baloo to keep exceeding with his durations so he is able to remain settled no matter what distractions are around him.||Focus: Duration||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: To finish up Baloo practiced his ‘skateboard’ skill. Baloo is doing really well with this, but will sometimes be a bit cautious pushing himself on the board. We began with the trainer pushing the skateboard for him and having him just walk with it, and he did great! For the last half of the session, the trainer then encouraged him to push the board himself with a lure and he did it a couple times really well!! We want Baloo to keep up the great progress so we can move onto the next step of fading out the lure. Awesome work today Baloo!||Focus: Confidence||B+|
