Baloo continued to develop confidence and engagement throughout the day. He was around all different people and dogs to further build his training around the stimuli.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: The trainer spent the first few minutes charging his marker and conditioning the classroom. They then started loose lead walking where Baloo would stop and fall to all 4s on the ground. Baloo has developed an understanding that if he fights pressure, he won't have to do what is asked or go in that direction. He can struggle with confidence however we need him to understand that it is better to come into the pressure where he will be rewarded. This will reduce his pulling and encourage more engagement. By the end of session he was doing well with his loose lead and started to come into the lead and follow the trainer more.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: This session focused on building the foundations of drop with his release word 'mogli'. He did really well with this considering the distractions in the room we're quite high. He still struggles with duration but is coming along well with this skill!||Focus: Back to Basics||B|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: For his final session the trainer worked on his crate training. This was done by sending him to and from the crate and eventually encouraging him to remain in the crate until released with 'mogli'. They worked on building the duration in crate as well as conditioning the crate to be more positive. Continue working on these skills at home with Baloo.||Focus: Duration||B|
