|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Bailey’s first session was place by the kennel yards with Piper training as well. Bailey smashed it. Not only did she ignore the boarding dogs but she did well with Piper nearby also. The trainer was able to loose lead walk Bailey in the area as well. And Bailey stayed on place while Piper was released from place and walked around. Bailey broke a couple of times when the trainer pretended to run away but considering the distractions Bailey did an awesome job. Your work at home is certainly showing.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: Next up was drop in the same area with Piper training also. This was a little harder for Bailey the closer she got to Piper and the boarding dogs. However the trainer up the frequency of treats a little and by the end of the session Bailey was holding position well. The trainers did try to get a good photo of them both but Bailey broke position. Not Piper! Trainers did laugh at that. But overall both dogs did a fantastic job training together.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: Recall was Baileys last session. She was quite distracted by the animal smells in the training area and the trainer needed to use leash pressure a couple of times to encourage Bailey to come. As the session progressed Bailey did improve. At home make sure you don’t say come until you know Bailey is actually going to return to you. Even if she is really close. But once again a great job by Bailey.||Focus: Repetition||C|
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
